FoodWorks Has the Recipe for Success

Do you have a passion for food and are looking to change your life? For more than a decade, the Maryland Food Bank’s FoodWorks program has been helping motivated Marylanders transform themselves in to professional chefs, with a solid career path ahead.

There is no prior experience necessary to enroll in FoodWorks. You bring the passion and dedication, and we’ll support you every step of the way. During the informational session, we’ll learn about you and your situation, and help you overcome any barriers to success.

Before You Apply

If you’re willing to put in the work during 12 weeks of intensive training in both knife skills and life skills, FoodWorks will reward you with the tools needed to enjoy a rewarding career in Maryland’s culinary or hospitality industries.
